Ready for the role of a lifetime?

If you're an experienced performer who wants to make the world a better place and you're up for a real adventure, this is the best job in the world.

The Starlight Children's Foundation's Captain Starlights are extraordinary performers, who make extraordinary things happen.

As a superhero of fun, your role is to entertain and distract children from the pain and stress of illness, hospital and medical treatment.

Our programs are based on the model of social health which recognises that fun and play are important factors to overall health and wellbeing. Captain Starlight is central to that role.

Based in the Northern Territory as a part time position, this is a unique opportunity to experience life in some of the most spectacular and remote parts of the country while helping to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Let your imagination soar. In the NT, Captain Starlights work their magic in the children's hospital in Darwin, engaging and entertaining kids and families through the power of performance.

Beyond Darwin, Captain Starlights take to the skies (in very small aircrafts!) visiting remote communities helping make health clinics more fun and less intimidating for kids.

The Captain Starlights have made a huge difference to the success of the paediatric remote clinics for Aboriginal children needing specialist review. They attract the kids into the clinic and keep them entertained whilst waiting. This has meant we have been able to see more children at these clinics.
The kids are happier and the clinics are transformed into fun places!
